He was predeceased by: his son Garry Neitzel; his grandson Craig Brightwell; and his sisters, Fern Buchmeier and Gloria Brenner. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Vicky Brightwell (Dennis), Sherry O'Connor and Patsy Shanks (Mike); his grandchildren, Brea York, TJ O'Connor (Ebony), Bryan Brightwell (Stephanie), Andy Shanks (Suzanne), Amy Bultema (Nick) and Megan Wajvoda (Matt); his great grandchildren, Castin, Camille, Ryker, Avery, Casey, Kylie and Carter; his siblings, Bonnie Graham (Ronnie) and Derwin Neitzel (Sue); and his daughter-in-law Janet Neitzel.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion United Church of Christ (14804 W 113th Ave, Cedar Lake, IN 46311). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Zion Cemetery (14804 W 113th Ave, Cedar Lake, IN 46311).
