James Hicks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Hicks of Cedar Lake, Indiana, who passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred, Sr. and Mary; and his siblings, Fred, Jr. and Donna Kokot. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew of East Chicago and Jerame (Sara) of Schererville; and his sister Patricia Rivera (Jose) of Lowell. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchild.
