She was predeceased by : her sisters, Sharon Davis, Pamela Anderson (Roger) and Barbara Courter; and her parents, Gilbert Schmidt and June Schmidt.

She is survived by : her husband Brian E. Best; her children, Jeffrey Best (Susan), Thomas Best (Robin) and Christopher Best; and her grandchildren, Brian, Lauren, Emma and Grant.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Church (100 W 81st Ave, Dyer, IN 46311). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 at the Memory Lane Memorial Park (6305 W Lincoln Hwy Hwy, Crown Point, IN 46307).

Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Church.
