He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Zarnecki and Rita Zarnecki; his sister Judy Armentrout; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Study and Lori Sturdy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Zarnecki (Sturdy); his daughters, Jill Skehan (Chris), Rachel Renner (Jason) and Anne Baumgardner (Mark); his grandchildren, Teagen, John, Tessa, Luke, Eleanor, Catherine, Charlotte and Mary Margaret; his siblings, Ken Zarnecki (Donna) and Susan Duffy; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen, John Mulrenin, Therese, Dave Scifres and Buffy Sturdy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (11000 W 133rd Ln, Cedar Lake, IN 46303).
