He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Stemle and Hilda Stemle (Schepers); his wife Judith "Judy" Hasenour; and his siblings, Ruth Greenwell, Eugene and Ernie Stemle.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Verkamp (Darrell) of Dubois, IN, Ryan Stemle (Erin) of Celestine, IN and Jami Eichmiller (Zach) of Dubois, IN; his grandchildren, Kelly Verkamp, Korey Verkamp, Kassidy Patrick (Nathan), Kasey Verkamp, Camryn Stemle, Clayton Stemle, Ashtyn Eichmiller and Akayla Eichmiller; his stepgrandchildren, Avie Gould and Corinne Gould; his great grandchildren, Raya Benson, Rynlee Benson and Brantley Patrick; his siblings, Louise Wissa (Maher) of Clearwater, FL and Jim Stemle (Barbara) of Lakeland, FL; and his brother-in-law Kenny Greenwell of Winter Haven, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Celestine Church (6864 IN-64, Eckerty, IN 47116). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Parish.
