He is survived by: his sons, Jason Scott Atkinson of Memphis and James Gene "Chigger" Atkinson (Lisa) of Centerville; his grandchildren, Charlene Cheryl Atkinson of Oberasbach, Germany and Dustin Georg Atkinson of Oberasbach, Germany; his great grandchild Ryan Atkinson of Oberasbach, Germany; his sisters, Patricia Ray Atkinson (Monte Rager) of Orleans, Amy Lynn Parker (Rob) of Mitchell and Charlotte Rose Atkinson-Kirkman (Buddy) of Bedford; his close friend Lynnette Hamilton of Mitchell; his siblings, Jerry Wayne Atkinson and Eric Lee Atkinson; and his brother-in-law Tim Nolen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
