He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth VanHoosier (Thrasher) and Claude VanHoosier; his son Michael Aaron VanHoosier; his grandson Simon VanHoosier; and his siblings, Violet Aders, Flora May Aders, Claude VanHoosier, Jr., Hazel Cash, Robert VanHoosier, Doris Ann VanHoosier and Connie Brassard.
He is survived by: his wife Judy VanHoosier (Fleck); his son Matthew VanHoosier (Allyson); his grandchildren, Sam VanHoosier, Sarah Blessinger (John), Seth VanHoosier and Sadie VanHoosier; and his siblings, Mary Hardin, Shirley Jean Rust, Sue Baker and Ronnie VanHoosier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
