He was predeceased by: his son James Bowen; and his siblings, Robert Bowen, James Bowen, J. P. Bowen, Mary Ann Crismore and Marjorie Pieper.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanie Couch Bowen; his children, Frank (Kimberly), William (Eun Gean) and Janice Jones (William); his grandchildren, Patrick Bowen (Leeza), Stephanie Doyle (Brandon), Amanda Webb (Joshua) and Tim Bowen; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Doyle, Annalee Doyle and Thomas Bowen.
