He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gibson and Verda Dilley Gibson; and his brothers, James Gibson, David Gibson, John Gibson, Danny Gibson and Anthony Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Carver Gibson; his children, Eugene Gibson (Cheryl) of Okolona, KY and Michele Middleton (Mark) of Charlestown, IN; his sister Verdeen Gibson of Charlestown; his grandson Garret Middleton; his sister-in-law Sonya Brewer (Randy) of Charlestown; his nephew Lucas Brewer of Charlestown; and his sister-in-law Janette Adams of Charlestown.
