Helen Voloch Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Voloch of Chesterton, Indiana, who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew Voloch; her brother Bill Checkon; her stepmother Sophie Checkon; and her parents, Mary Fedorchak and John Checkon.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Voloch (Pat), Michael Voloch (Esther), Marianne Burch (Rick), Robert Voloch (Kelli-Ann), Susie Aimone and Bill Voloch (Juli); her grandchildren, Alex Voloch (Tamara), Laura Florek (Ryan), Chris Voloch (Nicole), Mike Voloch, Joey Aimone, Kimberly Barnard (Steve), Leslie Voloch (Patrick), Amanda Dulin (Ryan), Megan Voloch, Danielle Paskash (Peter), Ben Voloch, Brandon Voloch, Zachary Voloch, Grace Voloch, Lucy Voloch and Sean Voloch; her great grandchildren, Malena, Tyler, Layla, Addie, Jack, Stevie, Lucas, Camryn, Leo, Noah, Wyatt and Vayda; and her siblings, Mike Checkon and Mary Ann Checkon.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church (557 W 57th Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Helen's name to Residences of Coffee Creek Activities Department or St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church.
