He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Sechrist and Thelma Sechrist (Rice); his daughter Carol; his brothers, Robert, Richard and Thomas; and his wife Patricia Sechrist.
He is survived by: his children, George Sechrist (Tammy) of Littleton, Barbara Cavender (Lee) of Cleveland Heights and Linda Bottom (Russ) of Lincoln, Illinois; his son-in-law Mitch Haas of Fairfield, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Annie Leavitt (Ross), Laura Seldomridge (Nathan), Daniel Sechrist, David Sechrist (Jessica), Sarah Nocero (Gideon), Timothy Cavender, Hannah Hansen (Greg), Matthew Cavender, Jasmine Bottom and Chloe Bottom. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
