He is survived by: his significant other Tabatha; his children, Tara Bewley (Neil) of Morgantown, KY, Elizabeth of Lexington, KY, Lyric and Gavin; his grandsons, Owen, Elliott and Lincoln Bewley of Morgantown, KY.; his parents, Allison Smaluk of Chicago, IL and Bill Gibson of Mooresville, IN; his mother-in-law Diana Polito of Chesterton, IN; his siblings, Luke of Chesterton, IN, Kallindra Zapata (Joél) of Chicago, IL, Katherine Varney (Rick) of Chicago, IL and Stephanie Gibson of Mooresville, IN; and his siblings' children, Alicia Smaluk of Rochester, IN, Raeleigh Zapata of Chicago, IL and Joél Zapata III of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
