She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Allen and Mabel Runyan (Chaney); her siblings, Gerald Owen Runyan and Rose Marie Hoot; and her great grandchild LaElah.

She is survived by: her husband Gale L. Schaefer; her children, Lynn Schaefer (Tammy Dwyer), Karen Hood, Dean Schaefer (Patricia), Ellen Danner (Lance) and John Schaefer; her grandchildren, Jamie Hood, Julie Sparkman, Justin Hood, Sarah Woosley, Kerilyn Schaefer, Andrew Schaefer, Benjamin Danner and Tyler Danner; her great grandchildren, Dominick, Gabriel, Blayne, Elijah, Hadyne, Katelyn, Jacob, Talan and LaTaya; and her great great grandchild Benjimen.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel (206 N Main St, Churubusco, IN 46723). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
