He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Schaefer and Hazel Schaefer (Snell); his sisters, Donna Myers and Ethel Anderson; and his great grandchild LaElah.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Schaefer (Tammy Dwyer), Karen Hood, Dean Schaefer (Patricia), Ellen Danner (Lance) and John Schaefer; his grandchildren, Jamie Hood, Julie Sparkman, Justin Hood, Sarah Woosley, Kerilyn Schaefer, Andrew Schaefer, Benjamin Danner and Tyler Danner; his great grandchildren, Dominick, Gabriel, Blayne, Elijah, Hadyne, Katelyn, Jacob, Talan and LaTaya; and his great great grandchild Benjimen.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Eel River Cemetery (11022 Carroll Rd, Churubusco, IN 46723).
