He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Perez and Erma Lee Mitchell; his wife Carol; his daughter Lee Leona; and his brothers, Gary Garza, Carl Garza, Jay Garza and Gilbert Garza.
He is survived by: his children, Tamara Carroll, Justin Garza, Ray Garza, Jr. (Tammy), Frank Garza, Howard Garza (Danielle) and Peggy Bagnetto; his grandchildren, Dalton Carroll, Kaitlyn Carroll, Shelby Munoz, Maura Coffelt, Dylan Garza, Chase Garza, Brett Garza, Shanna Fry, Josh Landis, Gary Garza, Jr., Sebastian Alexander, Christopher Longoria, Jim Longoria, Frank John Michael Hernandez, James Garza, Lia Rose Garza, Delilah Rasor, Geovhanie Garza, Julian Garza, Richard Garza, Cameron Garza and Shawn Garza; and his siblings, Roger Garza, Carol Garza, Dorothy Pastercheck, Barbara Alcoser (Ricardo) and Robert Garza. He is also survived by 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the American Legion, Post 157 (115 S Main St, Churubusco, IN 46723).
