With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Richard Sims of Clarksville, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilford Sims and Kathryn Sims (Tuell); his grandson Christopher Goffinet; his brother Bernard Sims; and his sister-in-law Dana Sims.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sims (Tatlock); his children, Rex Sims (Sandy), Robin Sims (Robert Knoerr) and J. R. Sims II (Tami); his grandchildren, Sarah Hannon (Jake), Jacob Sims, Ben Goffinet and Adam Sims (Mikaela); and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Olivia, Garrett, Natalie and Ava.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to John's church, Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
