She was predeceased by: her parents, James Willis Hampton and Betty Janell Spears Hampton. She is survived by: her children, Samuel Lee Bir Jr. and Erica Renee Clark (Kevin); her grandchildren, Nicolas Bir, Cameron Bir, Canaan Bir, Quentin Clark and Cora Clark; her sister Donna Lee Rose; and her daughter-in-law April Durrett.
