He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul B. Higgins and Wilma Higgins (McClure); and his siblings, Danny, Janice and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Higgins (Kirkpatrick); his children, Tad Higgins, Heather Higgins Clay (Lowell), Christie Higgins Burgess, Nancy Johnston (Robbie) and Jeremy Curry (Karen); his grandchildren, Tayllor, Anthony, Christopher, Jennifer, Terrence, Courtney, Warren, Brian, Brandon, Dominique, Kyleiah, Alana (Anthony) and Chloe; and his siblings, Barb, Christine and Jeff. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home (301 E 8th St, Clay City, IN 47841). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
