He was predeceased by: his parents, Garl Shank and Virginia M. Shank (Spurgeon); his brothers, Charles E. "Chuck" Shank and Gerald D. "Bud" Shank; and his niece Cindy Kennedy.
He is survived by: his sister Donna Swihart of Wabash; and his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Sherman of Wabash, Jama Oldsen of Columbia City, Debra Moore (Chris) of Akron, Mark Shank of Warsaw and Laura Riggle (Ryan) of Warsaw.
