James Fortune Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Fortune (Clinton, Indiana), who passed away at the age of 90, on June 2, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to James' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration James has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Fortune and Clara Ellen Fortune; and his wife Betty Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Candy Kerestes (Scott) of Westfield, IN and Brenda Peck of Clinton; his grandchildren, Cole Kerestes of Nashville, TN and Lauren Schmok (Connor) of Westfield, IN; and his great grandchild Tatum Schmok.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Family Farm (2179 E 700 S, Dana, IN 47847). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wayside United Methodist Church (14895 S 200 E, Clinton, IN 47842).
