He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Shepard and Lura Cooke Shepard (Martin); his wife Esther Shepard; his son Michael Gossett; his brothers, Harlan, Bert, Wayne, Gene and John Shepard; and his children, Bob Gossett of Clinton, Marti Cobble (Larry) of Clinton and Debbie Ackerly (Thom) of Indianapolis. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
