Richard Butts Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Richard Butts of Cloverdale, Indiana is shared. Richard, born on November 11, 1939, passed away on June 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Butts and Mildred Butts (Moore); his brother Roy Butts; his daughter Donna Cox (Brad Cox); and his grandson Cody Cox.

He is survived by: his daughters, Shirley (Eric Hayman) of Cloverdale and Suzi (Steve Belvel) of Saucier, MS.; his sister-in-law Barbara Butts of Logansport; his sisters, Jean (Tom Baker) of Greencastle and Judy Murphy of Greencastle; his grandchildren, Eric Hayman Jr., Damon Cox, Kyle Cox, Bobbie Ford and Zackary Belvel; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Aubrey Hayman, Julian, Damon, Ellie, Emric, Quincy Cox, Zaine, Patience, Kinzer and KinKaid Cox. He is also survived by three nephews and one niece.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Putnam County 4-H Foundation.
