He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Walton and Velma Walton; his former wife Gladys; his son Kim; and his sister Eyelyn Shrake.

He is survived by: his wife Claria "Sissy"; his sons, Lynn (Nora) and Daryll (Ruth); and his stepchildren, Jackie and Willie. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
