He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Shelley and Shirley M. Shelley; his siblings, Jacquline "Cindy" Shelley and Timothy Shelley; and his daughter Jill Shelley.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Shelley (Lockard) of Colfax; his children, Jodi Stephens (Dave) of Crawfordsville, Jenny Mullendore (Kerry) of Clarkshill, Mindy Horlacher (Nick) of Mulberry, Jonathan Shelley of Colfax, Tabby Flynn of Lafayette, Jennifer Tanner (Rodney) of Ohio and Aaron Reagan (Natasha) of Texas; and his siblings, Sandy Nelson of Florida, Jody Johnson of Florida, Kim, Everette Clark of Colfax and Scott Shelley (Sherry) of Veedersburg. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
