Scott M. Hiatt Obituary

Scott M. Hiatt, 86, of Colfax, Indiana, passed away on August 31, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He will be dearly missed. He was born in Hamilton County, Indiana, on October 19, 1936, a son of the late Abbott and Lillian (McCarty) Hiatt.

Scott was a carpenter by trade and a farmer. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed restoring and driving antique tractors and bike riding.

He was married to Mary Hiatt in November 1957 in Cicero, Indiana; she survives. In addition to Mary, he is survived by children, Patricia of Colfax, Bill (Doreen) of Thorntown, Brenda (companion, Melvin) of Lebanon; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Sally of British Columbia, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by a son, Mike; and brothers, Jim, Fred, and Larry.

No services will be held at this time. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
