The passing of Marvin David Bridegam of Columbia City, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 23, 2025 at the age of 89. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bridegam and Loretta Bridegam (Armel); his son Carl Bridegam; his grandsons, Thad, Chad Shearer, Derek and Danny Bridegam; and his siblings, Harold Bridegam, Paul Bridegam, Von Bridegam, Thomas Bridegam, Garnet Pettigrew, Patricia Gates and Aletha Sills.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Bridegam; his children, Janet Shearer (Stephen), Brian Bridegam (Lynnette), Nancy Bridegam, Cindy Wakeman (David) and Leon Bridegam; his daughter-in-law Debbie; his grandchildren, Emily Day (Ryan), Miranda Shearer, Ryan Shearer (Kaitlyn), Jake Bridegam, Katie Moore (Tanner), Jamie Steiner (Mike), Justin Swaidner (McKenzie), Hannah Bridegam (Tyler), Makayla Helton (Adam), Caleb Wakeman, Landon Wakeman and Braden Bridegam; his sister Irene Gagnon; and his sister-in-law Karen Bridegam of Columbia City. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Marvin to Whitley County 4-H, Lifewise or Bear Lake Camp.
