With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. Jones of Columbia City, Indiana, who passed away on July 11, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Richard has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his son Chad Jones (Linda) of Columbia City; and his wife Cindy. He is survived by: his children, Craig Jones (Shelly) of Virgina and Paige Jones (Kevin Ewing) of Tri-Lakes; his grandsons, Jake Harvey of Columbia City and Andrew Jones of Fort Wayne; his sister Sharon Sauers of Columbia City; and his daughter-in-law Linda Jones of Columbia City.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Smith & Sons (205 N Main St, Columbia City, IN 46725).
