He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas D. Sr. Boardman and Lulu Mae Boardman (Smith); and his brothers, Conrad Boardman and George Boardman. He is survived by: his wife Joann Boardman (Powell); his daughters, Anna Arnold, Lori Jinnings (Scott), Sara Boardman and Lisa Boardman; his stepdaughters, Cindy Wyse and Vickie Fisher; his grandchildren, Jenna Elkins (Jason), Justin Arnold (Danielle), Abbie Jinnings, Brad Jinnings (Megan) and Kaitlin Jinnings; and his great grandchildren, Bradyn, Avery, Macy, Madelyn, Ella, Mackenzie, Meredith, Jackson and Emrie.
Memorial donations may be given in memory to Coesse United Methodist Church Building Fund, Union Township Volunteer Fire Department or Parkview Whitley Hospice.
