She was predeceased by: her parents, Rawleigh Mitchell and Viola Mitchell (Coryell); her husband John Miller; her brother Ivan Mitchell; her granddaughter Rachel McVey; her great grandchildren, Tyler McVey and Carmen Waltermire; and her stepdaughters, Donna Sue Miller and Ella Black.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas Mitchell I (Tom) of Taylorsville, Basil Miller of Seymour, Rebecca Waltermire (Donnie) of North Vernon and Sarah Rose Jarrell (Tim) of Taylorsville; her stepchildren, George, Leroy Miller of Coatesville, Frankie Miller of Columbus and Julie Wagaman of Morgantown; her siblings, Elbert Mitchell (Pam) of English, Max Mitchell of Columbus, Phillip Mitchell (Heather) of North Vernon, Lois Quillen of Warsaw, Roberta Boat of Muncie, Wanda Hacker (Steve) of Butlerville, Judy Hartwell (David) of Butlerville, Joyce Ashton (Bill) of North Vernon, Jeannie Agee (Ron) of Colorado Springs and Virginia Hammond (Bill) of Westport; and her grandchildren, Stacy Jarrell (Andrew) of Taylorsville, Tiffany Fields (Tyler), Douglas Mitchell II (Kayla), Chris Mitchell, Monica Harris (Michael), Angie Hyden (Trevor), Amber Boggs (Aaron), Brittany Fordice (Cecil) of Donald Joseph, Michael Waltermire (Shay) of North Vernon and Travis Waltermire of North Vernon. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made in honor of Fay through the funeral home to Bartholomew County Public Library, Jennings County Public Library, or the First Baptist Church in Taylorville.
