She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett Courtney and Pauline Taylor; her brother Larry Downing; her grandson Bradley Burnett; and her son-in-law David Pelley.

She is survived by: her husband Denzil Burnett; her children, Angela Burnett, Rusty Burnett (Paula), John Burnett (Debbie) and Aimee Caldwell (John); her grandchildren, Justin Burnett (Ashley), Shelby Wasson (Matthew), Trey Shipley (Courtney), Aaron Burnett (Kaylyn), Quindon Shipley (Mara) and Faith Schaumburg (Stephen); and her sisters, Susan Dunham and Jean Purdy. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
