Bradley Parks Obituary
Bradley Steven Parks, 49, of Columbus, IN passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born March 28, 1974 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN.
He was a 1992 graduate of Brown County High School.
He was an avid sports fan, loved the Green Bay Packers, and was a long-time participant in the Special Olympics. He was chosen to go the World Games in Ireland in 2003 to represent the United States in basketball.
Brad loved watching movies, being with his family and friends, including his. Special Olympics family.
He married Renee M. (Miller) Parks on October 15, 1994 in Columbus, IN, she survives. Also surviving is his son David Parks of Columbus, IN, his parents David and Brenda S. (Bryant) Oldham of Morgantown, IN, brother Craig Parks of Greenwood, IN, sisters Jamie Parks of Greenwood, IN and Kelly Hall of Glendale, AZ, maternal grandmother Helen (Townsend) Crowe of Morgantown, IN, nephews Devin Mann, Dylan Mann, Donnie Oldham, Ryan Oldham, Kristian Oldham and a niece Ashley Oldham.
His maternal grandfather Doyle Bryant and a brother Kevin Oldham preceded him in death on February 21, 2011.
Pastor Mark Teike will conduct a service on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at http://www.swartzmortuary.com. Friends may call Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 11AM until service time at the mortuary.
