With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Cozette Stephens of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dudley Jeffries and Fern Jeffries (Harrison); her husband James Stephens; her brothers, Woodrow Jeffries and Elton Jeffries; and her great grandchild Clayton Perry.
She is survived by: her children, Thresea Perry of Columbus and Craig Stephens of Columbus; her grandchildren, Jason Perry (Natalie) of Columbus, Jessica Perry of Columbus, Natalie Ferrenburg (Josh) of Columbus and Jameson Stephens of Columbus; and her brother Delton Jeffries. She is also survived by her 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home (402 E Bennett St, Westport, IN 47283). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
