With sadness, we share the passing of Catherine E. Shirk in Columbus, Indiana. Catherine, born on September 16, 1952, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Leo and Alma Annette Peddenpohl (Smith); her husband David C. Shirk; her pet Maggie; her daughters, Julie Krebs (Tim) and Kate Notich (Nick); her grandchildren, Luke Krebs, Anna, Jay and Julia Notich; and her brothers, Ed (Jan), Joe (Debbie), Ray (Nita) and Larry Peddenpohl (Theresa).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory (3855 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
