It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E. Hughes of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on September 18, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Hughes and May D. Pinegar Hughes; his former wife Sharon Sue Hughes; and his brothers, Howard Frank Hughes and Gordon Lee Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel Yvonne Lyle Coulter; his children, Mark Andrew Hughes (Carol Rodgers) of Shelbyville, Neil Armstrong Hughes of Columbus and Kelli Kay Hill (Tim Gilpin) of Columbus; his stepdaughters, Teresa Yvonne Farris (David) of Columbus and Angela Rose Elkins (Jeffrey) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Ethan Tyler Hill (Taletha) of Columbus, Seth Eli Hill (Morgan) of Columbus, Shelby Anna Doughty of Columbus, Cameron Dalton Hughes of Columbus, Autumn of North Carolina, Evan Hughes of North Carolina and Nicholas Crinshaw of North Vernon; and his great grandchildren, Tucker Ethan Hill, Tristen Andrew Dougherty, Liam Daniel Dougherty, Jameson Mae Dougherty, Brooklyn Hughes and Myleigh Hughes.
