He is survived by: his wife Betty Bates; his children, Tony Bates (Shelli), Jennifer Bates (Carrie Hoover), Darla Peek (Brian), Steven Douglas (Katie) and Crystal Money (Ernie); his siblings, Daniel Bates, Ernest Dale Bates, Junior Bates, Judy Beverly (Robie) and Sue Hampton (Leo); his sisters-in-law, Ivory Bates and Bernice Bates; his grandchildren, Nikki Kimbley (Joe), Jayden Peek (Madysin), Hunter Price (Kendall), Kristi Price (Hunter), Misti Price (Caleb), Andrew Douglas, Sophia, Sebastian Weil and Alayana Hampton; and his great grandchildren, Everleigh, Zaylen Garcia and Easton Rodriguez.
