He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Robertson (Bud) and Dorothy Robertson of Hope, Indiana.; his brother Gerald; and his daughter Candi Rene. He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Bozell; his grandchildren, Riley Robertson of Indianapolis, Casey Robertson of Cincinnati, Allyson (Jeff Gardner) of Greenwood, Josh Robertson (Kirtana), Cooper, Cailyn and Cheney Robertson of Indianapolis; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Theo Gardner of Greenwood; his brother Ronald Robertson (Freida) of Hope Indiana; and his sibling's children, Wendy Robertson of Hope and Jeremy Robertson (Rachel) of Wellman, Iowa..
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the East Columbus Christian Church (3170 Indiana Ave, Columbus, IN 47201).
In lieu of flowers Gary requested donations in his name to The Columbus Boys/Girls Club Foundation for Youth, or Habitat for Humanity in Columbus where he volunteered after retiring from Duke Energy.
