With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Glenda J. Compton of Columbus, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph W. Collins and Maryleen B. Crippen Collins; her husband James G. "Spider" Compton; her close friend Floyd Cornelius; her sister-in-law Patricia Collins; and her grandson Fisher K. Lucas.
She is survived by: her children, James W. Lucas (Susan) of Illinois, Kimberly Lucas (Chandra Robertson) of Columbus and John Lucas (Lori) of Columbus; her granddaughter Hannah Lucas; her brother Alan Collins of Indianapolis; and her sibling's children, Alan Collins, Jennifer Collins (Heather Rudell) and Meredith Van Rooy (David).
