He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Leon and Emma Rachel East Axsom; his wife Judy A. Fish; and his brother Gary Lee Axsom. He is survived by: his children, John Axsom (Karolyn) of Columbus and Lori Smock of Illinois; his grandchildren, Caz Axsom, Joanna Smock, Jed Smock, Jeremy Smock, Jennah Smock, Josiah Smock and Judah Smock; his sister Debbie Vaughn (Kevin) of Montana; and his son-in-law Gary D. Smock of Columbus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
