He was predeceased by: his wife Olive Marie Dean; and his parents, Charles Clampitt and Blanch Clampitt. He is survived by: his children, Latricia Metz (Jeff) of Columbus, William Clampitt (Rebecca) of Charlotte and Paul Clampitt (Amy) of Columbus; and his sisters, Alice Vernon of Michigan City, Ellen Gillogoly of Largo and Evelyn Brown of Scottsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jonesville Christian Church or American Cancer Society.
