He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Virgil Williams and Ethel Morrison Williams of Ogilville; and his siblings, Geraldine Eickelberry, Bea Lewis, Leatrice Newkirk, Violet Brashears, Neola Lord, Don Williams and Jesse Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Williams; his children, James C. Williams Jr. (Michelle) of Columbus and Crystal Read (Bill) of Trafalgar, IN; his grandchildren, Jamie C. Williams (Megan) of Columbus, IN, Mara Nichter (Ethan) of Columbus, IN and Dawson Read of Trafalgar, IN; his great grandchildren, Oakley Williams of Columbus, IN and Gracelyn Nichter of Columbus, IN; and his sisters, Joyce Ludwig of North Vernon and Gloria "Hon" Allman of Seymour. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
