He was predeceased by: his parents, James Redden and Margaret Brown Redden; and his brother William Redden. He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Redden of Columbus; his children, Christina Roberts (Jason) of Columbus, Sean Redden (Elizabeth) of Greenwood, James Bradley Redden (Bobbie) of Franklin and Brandi Redden (Missy) of Indianapolis; and his sister Kay Bolin of Franklin. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
