It is with sadness that the passing of James E. Runner of Columbus, Indiana is shared. James, born on December 28, 1940, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mason and Murnie Cooley Runner; and his brother-in-law Monty Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Ann Spence; his children, Bob Runner (Penny) of Indianapolis, Karen Bastin (Kevin) of Plainfield and Dedra Abts of Columbus; his grandchildren, Kimberly McDonald (Thomas), Nikki Rosswurm (Brian), Connor Easley and Hannah Abts; his great grandchildren, Colt, Lorelei and Landon; and his sister Eula Montgomery of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
