He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Kelp and Iva Kelp (Dowell); his wife Annie Marie Kelp (Branaman); his daughter Janet Mathis; and his brothers, Don Kelp, Dallas Kelp and Allen Kelp.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Rodgers (Frank) of Nashville, Randy Kelp (Penny) of Nashville and Mike Kelp (Christi) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Amber Graham (Joshia), Jerry Rodgers, Jamie Mathis (Ron), Ashley Leis (Ryan), Emily Kelp, Travis Kelp, Tray Yates (Alexis) and Shelbie Browning; and his siblings, Maxine Hedrick, Mary Smale, Judie Schroeder, Jim Kelp and John Kelp. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
