He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leo and Odetta Beatrice McDonald (Brown); his wife Betty L. Burris; and his sister Elizabeth Louise Goodwin (Bud). He is survived by: his children, Jerilyn Brewer (Kim) of Hartsville, JL, Jody Harmon (Shawn) of Commiskey and Jeremy McDonald (Nicole) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Jessica Lindstrom (DJ), Jenna Chalfant (Andrew), Jonah Brewer, Kyra Strilka (Jonathan), Olivia McDonald, Shawna Harmon, Corbin Harmon, Parker Harmon, Justin Harmon and Bryce McDonald; his great grandchildren, Tatum Chalfant and Kendall Chalfant; and his brothers, Paul McDonald (Betty) of White House, James Robert McDonald (Mary Alice) of Haubstadt and John McDonald (Sherrie) of Columbus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
