Jeff Billard wrote a sympathy message

“Although Jerry was based in the US and I'm in the UK, he was still an important and helpful figure in my Cummins career, and the go-to guy for anything IMS mainframe related - Obi Wan Kenobi was a complementary nickname I had for him, due to his vast experience! When he was in the UK once I had the opportunity to take him out to dinner and we had a great time - some of the stories he told me were poignant and funny too - it's a fond memory that I will cherish. My deepest condolences, Jeff B xx”
