It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John W. Sawin of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of John W. Sawin to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Sawin and Harriett J. Bonta Sawin. He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Miller; his children, Susie Sawin (David Kadlec) of Columbus, Andrew Sawin (Michelle) of Indianapolis and Cindy Howery (John) of Stoughton, WI; his grandsons, Graham Johnson (Wendy Chen), Isaac Johnson (Payton Doan) and Benjamin Howery (Kyra Schlicht); his siblings, Robert Sawin (Mary) of Columbus and Sarah Smith (Gary) of Connersville; and his pet Bernie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana, First Presbyterian Church, World Central Kitchen, or Doctors Without Borders.
