He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Effie Merideth Cosby; his former wife Nadine; his wife Vera Zieleniuk Merideth; his son Randall Joe Merideth; his stepson Mark Burton; his son-in-law Boyd Mitchell; his brother James Stanley; and his granddaughter Kelly.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sondra Bennett (Leonard) of Shelby County, IN and Cheryl Mitchell of Shelby County, IN; his grandchildren, Matt, Julie, Jarad and Amy; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Morgan, Brady, Aiden, Chelsae, Jennah, Tessa and Alyssa. He is also survived by 5 great-great grandchildren; and 2 half-sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rittman Funeral Service & Crematory (3855 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana or Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
