She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Mary Jane Smith Pierce; her husband Eugene Hitch; her siblings, Lucille Richards, Radis Pierce, James Pierce, Nancy Burton, Quinn Pierce, Delta Patton and J. B. Pierce; and her daughter Betty Vannice.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Winright (John) of Michigan, Patsy Battin of Columbus, Penny Pedigo (Charles) of Columbus, Donald Hitch of Columbus and Samuel Hitch of Columbus; her grandchildren, Christy Anderson (Richard), Joshua Winright (Jessica), Royce Burns (Taylor), Jayson, Caleb Winright, Brandon Battin (Kayla) and Dustten Hitch; her brother Ernest Pierce of Franklin; and her pet Febbie. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
