It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Lee Hayes of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Flossie and Maurice George; his uncles, Phillip George and Charles Hayes; and his great-nephew Leighton Hayes.
He is survived by: his parents, Virginia Snow of Hartsville, Indiana and Steward England of Sebring, Florida; his brothers, Billy Hayes of Columbus, Chuck Hayes (Mary) of North Vernon and Andy England (Lindsey) of Columbus; and his siblings' children, Kaitlyn, Jay, Michael (Hannah), Chuckie, Devin, Aaron, Andreu, Triston, Bailey and Brody.
We do ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
