He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schoettelkotte and Regina Schoettelkotte (Roehm); his daughter Jill Mulligan; and his siblings, John, Maurice Schoettelkotte, Mary Bossert, Viola Fullenkamp and Dorothy Schoettelkotte.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Paul Schoettelkotte (Suzanne), Shari Moody (Stephen) and Jaclyn Zafirovski (Aleksandar); his sister-in-law Eva Schoettelkotte; his son-in-law Brian Mulligan; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Elena, Jackson Mulligan, Delaney, Adeline Moody, Marko, Maja Zafirovski and Henry Schoettelkotte.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rittman Family Funeral Home (3855 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cheer Fund-Fire Department-Columbus, Indiana.
